French Indochina, 20 cent, 1885 struck at Paris.

Obverse: Liberty seated left, radiate head, holding lictor's fasces, a rice field in front of her. Legend RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE. Signature BARRE. Date 1885 in exergue. Reverse: denomination 20 CENT within a wreath of branches. Legend INDO-CHINE FRANÇAISE at the top, TITRE 0,900 POIDS 5,443 at the bottom. Mint letter A (Paris) at the centre.

Only minor flat spots on the high points, notably on the obverse. Orange iridescent toning on the obverse, grey with steel-blue highlights on the reverse. Mint State.

Note: 1885 is the first year of the French Indochina coinage.
