Louis XV (1715-1774), louis d'or aux écus ovales, 1726, struck at Grenoble. Mintage of 91,000 coins.

Obverse: childlike draped bust of the king left, with long curly hair. Reverse: two conjoined crowned oval shields, one of France bearing three fleurs-de-lis, the other of Navarre. Mint letter Z (Grenoble) below the shields.

Attractive lustre, sharp relief. Rare mint. Mint State.
