Charles X (1824-1830), 1 franc pattern 1830 struck at Paris.
Obverse: bare head of Charles X left, signed MICHAUT below the neck, legend CHARLES X ROI DE FRANCE. Reverse: crowned shield of France between two four-leaf branches, denomination 1 F on either side, date 1830 in exergue. Mint letter A (Paris). Reeded edge.
Specimen strike, the velvety mint bloom barely removed on the high points, a few golden highlights. Rare. Specimen.
Note: 1830 is the last year of the reign of Charles X, overthrown in July by the revolution of the Trois Glorieuses, which ended the senior line of the Bourbons. This pattern, carefully struck with a reeded edge and of the so-called "four leaves" variety, bears witness to the die work carried out during these final months of the reign.
