A very rare coin, lightly cleaned and showing some corrosion. Very Fine details.

Note: with a mintage of only 47,000, this Nantes date ranks among the rarest of the series. The group of Hercules between Liberty and Equality, engraved by Augustin Dupré, was to enjoy a long legacy, reappearing on the 5 francs of 1848 and later of 1871.
