Louis XVI (1774-1792), écu aux branches d'olivier, 1790, struck at Marseille.
Obverse: clothed bust of Louis XVI left, signed DUVIV. below the bust, star beneath. Reverse: crowned oval shield of France within two olive branches, legend SIT NOMEN DOMINI BENEDICTUM. Mint letters MA (Marseille) below the shield.
Slightly weak strike, as usual for the type, with minor flat spots. Otherwise a broad planchet and a very attractive strike, delicate toning. About Uncirculated.
