Monaco, Louis II, silver 10 francs pattern 1945, struck as a proof.

Obverse: uniformed bust of Louis II left, his chest adorned with decorations, signed P. TURIN, legend LOUIS II PRINCE DE MONACO. Reverse: crowned arms of the Grimaldi supported by two monks armed with swords, denomination 10 FRANCS and the word ESSAI between two laurel branches, date 1945.

Note: the portrait is the work of Pierre Turin, one of the great French medallists of the 20th century, also the author of the 20 francs Turin bearing the effigy of the Republic. The pattern was struck in only 200 examples.
