Napoleon III (1852-1870), 5 centimes pattern, double reverse type, 1855, struck at Rouen.
Obverse: imperial eagle with spread wings, head turned right, standing on a thunderbolt. Legend EMPIRE FRANÇAIS, and CINQ CENTIMES between two stars in exergue. Mint letter B (Rouen) below the eagle. Reverse: same type, identical imperial eagle. Mint letter B (Rouen).
Attractive red and brown colour, bold strike, sharp relief. A rare double reverse pattern. Mint State.
