Obverse: laureate head of Napoleon III left, signed BARRE below the neck, legend NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR. Reverse: crowned great imperial arms, shield bearing the eagle on a mantle, sceptres in saltire and collar of the Legion of Honour, legend EMPIRE FRANÇAIS, denomination 2 F on either side, date 1869 in exergue. Mint letter A (Paris).

As struck, the velvety mint bloom barely touched. Sumptuous toning with golden highlights. Mint State.
