Napoleon III (1852-1870), 2 francs laureate head, 1866 struck at Paris.

Obverse: laureate head of the emperor left. Legend NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR. Signature BARRE below the neck. Reverse: oval shield bearing the eagle, surmounted by the imperial crown, encircled by the collar of the Legion of Honour and set on a mantle, two sceptres in saltire. Legend EMPIRE FRANÇAIS. Denomination 2 F on either side. Date 1866 in exergue.
