Louis XIV (1643-1715), louis d'or à l'écu 1690 struck at Paris.
Obverse: laureate and draped bust of the king right. Reverse: crowned shield of France bearing three fleurs-de-lis, with reformation star, overstruck on an earlier louis d'or.
Attractive bold strike, beautiful original mint lustre, sharp relief on both sides. Perfect reformation. Mint State.
