Charles V (1365-1380), franc à pied. Obverse: the crowned king standing beneath a Gothic canopy, holding a raised sword and the hand of justice. Reverse: foliate cross fleurdelisée, cantoned with four small crowns, within an ornate quatrefoil.
Struck on a relatively tight planchet, with particularly sharp relief and a bold strike. Exceptionally fresh strike. Mint State.
