Jeanne de Naples (1362-1382), franc à pied.

Obverse: the crowned king standing beneath a Gothic canopy, holding a raised sword and the hand of justice. Reverse: foliate cross fleurdelisée, cantoned with four small crowns, within an ornate quatrefoil.

A superb example struck on a broad planchet. Some weakness of strike in the legends, but an example that has retained all of its mint lustre. A very rare coin. Mint State.

NGC MS63 (erroneously attributed to Charles V).
